Then a cougar attack severly damages Terry and he has to leave the ranch to recover. Cindy will never be his, but he loves her dearly. Great emotional read, a modern day western set in Canada ranch country. I was given a ARC for aa honest review.

Terry Of The Double Cby Reg QuistVery enjoyable story. Written as though a true story told between friends. Quite interesting. Drew me in from the start. The author even made details of ranch life interesting to me. The characters seemed so real. I was given an advance free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Terry of the Double C, by Reg Quist, is an inspiring story about a boy coming of age who has a lot of determination and ambition for his future. Walking in a severe thunder storm to his new summer job, working in a stable, a cougar attack, and of course a pretty rancher’s daughter makes this a very good read with a Christian flair. This captivating page turner will keep your interest until the end. I was given an advance copy of this book for my honest review.

This one has it all, from big money cattle deals to cowboys freezing in the Alberta winters. I enjoyed the banter especially between the older characters as they carried on conversations begun perhaps years before, just picking up where they left off. Great example of how a modern western can still be action-packed without all the blazing six-guns.

Kind of slow moving but still well written story about earning responsibility and what real life on a ranch is like. Especially when you are asked to run a large and successful one. Once I got going I did enjoy this book, it was just a little different than what I am used to. I am sure you will enjoy it too.

Nice story of ranching near Calgary Jb C. The ins and outs in good weather or bad raising cattle. Interaction between the people and family, mainly focused on Terry and his maturing, leading to a caring and capable man. His on and off relationship with Chris. Looking forward to the next book.

Good story--believable characters. I tutor English. I don't expect to have to enable the "as you read" dictionary to read a Western. Guess growing up on Zane and Louis has given me unrealistic expectations of the genre. Of course, I didn't expect to find a psychological thriller either.

A very good read which I enjoyed reading. I was furnished this book free in return for a honest review. The book is a well written western and life on a working cattle ranch with a love story interwoven. It is a good book and I recommend it to you.
